WRITING SAMPLES : Research Reports In 2008, I led a team of 20 finance, technology, marketing and P.R. professionals to create the first edition of The Financial Engines National 401(k) Evaluation, a research report assessing the investing mistakes in nearly one million 401(k) portfolios. In our attempt to determine how well Americans are managing their 401(k) plans, we sought to answer the following questions: -- Which participants are taking full advantage of their 401(k)s? -- Which participants are making mistakes with their 401(k)s? -- How much are participants' mistakes costing them? The report generated over 400 million media impressions and was covered extensively in business publications nationwide, including the The Associated Press, Dow Jones, Portfolio.com and The Wall Street Journal.
